IAB Facilities
The Institute of Arctic Biology supports a suite of research facilities to advance scientific inquiry across ecological, molecular, and biomedical disciplines. Toolik Field Station, located in the Arctic, serves as a globally recognized hub for climate change research and ecological studies. On campus, the Genomics Core Laboratory provides cutting-edge instrumentation and training for genomics, proteomics, and analytical chemistry, while the IAB Research Greenhouse offers year-round controlled environments for plant-based research and education. The Molecular Imaging Facility delivers advanced imaging capabilities—including NMR, MRI, and DXA technologies.
Local residents often pay a visit to Toolik Field Station.
