Submitting an application to UAF is the first step to being admitted into a degree program and is required to be eligible for financial aid. The application process is also the first step for students new to UAF who just want to take a class.

Just want to take a class?

If you just want to take a class without applying to a degree program and you want to complete your class registration online, you will need to submit an application to register as a Non Degree Seeking Registrant.

Submitting an application is not necessary if you intend to register for classes in person. For more information about registering in person, visit: How to Register: In Person

Interested in earning a certificate or degree?

Submit an application for admission as a degree student if:

• You are interested in earning an occupational endorsement, certificate or degree.
• You will be using financial aid.

Need to re-apply?

You will need to submit an application to re-apply for admission if:

• You have not attended any University of Alaska campus within the last two years.
• You are interested in earning an occupational endorsement, certificate or degree.
• You will be using financial aid.

When to Apply

You can apply to UAF at any time; however, there are a few dates that you should keep in mind.
