Workshop to discuss winter feeding of livestock, horses

Seed-starting workshops offered in Alaska communities

The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Cooperative Extension Service is holding several seed-starting workshops around the state in March and April. Starting seeds early gives growers an opportunity to get a head start on Alaska's short, intense growing season and a way to grow plant varieties that local greenhouses may not carry.

Free radon test kits available during January

The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Cooperative Extension Service and a state agency are providing information about radon and free short-term radon test kits. Radon is a colorless, odorless cancer-causing gas that is commonly found in Alaska.
