Week’s events: Cathie Harms, gut health, info literacy, steel drums

���ϳԹ��� Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here’s what’s happening during the week of July 27-Aug. 2:

• On Monday, July 27, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series will honor Cathie Harms, wildlife biologist. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Tuesday, July 28, the Healthy Living lecture series will host Scott Luper, naturopathic physician, discussing “Gut Feelings: Your Microbiome and Health and Well-Being.” The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Wednesday, July 29, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Elizabeth Dawson and Genova Brookes Boyd, assistant professors of library science, presenting “Research Like a Scholar, Think Like a Critic: Information Literacy Essentials.” The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
• On Thursday, July 30, the Music in the Garden concert series will present Cold Steel Drums at 6 p.m. and Ice Jam at 7:30 p.m. at UAF’s Georgeson Botanical Garden.

All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the UAF Troth Yeddha’ ���ϳԹ��� is free after 5 p.m.
