URSA accepting applications for Spring 2026 Student Project Awards

Oct. 6, 2025

Undergraduate students planning to pursue creative projects or conduct research during the Spring 2026 semester are invited to apply for funding. Applications will be accepted through Nov. 2.

  • The limit for requests is $3,000 for individuals and $6,000 for groups of two or more students.
  • Funds may be used for an undergraduate fellowship, tuition (up to 4 credits for a course related to your project), travel to the fieldwork location, and/or supplies and services.
  • Proposed project work must take place between Jan. 12 and April 27, 2026. All funds must be spent by the end of the award period.
  • Students MAY NOT receive funding from URSA and another source (such as INBRE) during the same semester. This is to allow the maximum number of UAF students to receive funding during a given term.
  • The full Spring 2026 Student Project Award request for proposals (RFP) can be found on the URSA Student Project Awards webpage.
  • The application deadline is Nov. 2, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Students will be notified by email on Dec. 1, 2025.
