Shaped by Ice is a museum exhibition about how we think and talk about glaciers, how we live with glaciers, and how we study them. Explore large-scale terrain maps that illustrate the glacial landscapes of Alaska and Greenland. Learn about the science of glacier research and the movement of Indigenous cultures into these resource-rich bays and fjords.

EVERYBODY’S GRANDFATHER Ldakát Káá Léelk'w: Community Celebration

Join us to celebrate the re-installation of Everybody’s Grandfather - Ldakát Káá Léelk'w, the Kaag Waan Taan totem pole created in 1988 by Nathan Jackson and his apprentices, Lee Wallace and Bert Ryan.

This gathering will honor Yéil Yádi Nathan Jackson as the master carver and Tlingit culture bearer behind items in the UAMN collections and countless works of art around the world.

Matinee pricing of $5 per ticket will apply for each showing.
