Midnight Sun Visiting Writers Series

 

Prepare for an unforgettable evening of poetry in Fairbanks as the Solstice Poetry Cycle takes the stage. Part of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Department of English’s Midnight Sun Visiting Writers Series, this annual event celebrates the season with a vibrant showcase of local poetic voices.

Poets will deliver single, powerful poems in a seamless, uninterrupted flow. No introductions, no small talk, just the raw brilliance of creative expression, one voice after another.

Join us January 16th in Schaible Auditorium, or tune in if you’re unable to attend in person. Admission is free and open to all. While no ticket is required, attendees are welcome to make an optional donation to support the Midnight Sun Visiting Writers Series and help sustain future literary events.

Come celebrate the solstice with words that inspire, connect, and move us—lighting up the winter night through the transformative power of poetry.
